Tour the Okanagan!!

Embark on an unforgettable 7-day journey from Saskatchewan to the stunning Okanagan Valley. This tour offers the perfect blend of scenic beauty, exciting attractions, and relaxation.

Our journey begins as we leave Saskatchewan behind and head for Strathmore, AB for our first overnight stay. Upon our arrival, there will be a Welcome Reception, so that you can get to know your fellow travelers.

Day 2 takes us through the majestic mountains and  into Kelowna, our home for the next 3 nights. Enjoy the scenic stops along the way, including a break for lunch in Golden, BC. We’ll also stop in Sicamous, BC for a visit at D Dutchmen Dairy for some of the best homemade ice cream in Canada!

After settling in Kelowna, we will take a day to explore along Okanagan Lake. We will make a stop in Peachland, BC for some in house baking at Bliss Bakery. Here you can also take some time to explore the nearby shops. Then we will head to Summerland where we will board the Kettle Valley Steam Railway for a scenic train ride. Next, we will make our way to Summerland Sweets/Sleeping Giant Winery for a chance to check out their gourmet jams, fruit syrups, leather and jelly candy. If we are lucky we might even get to sample some of their delicious fruit wines!

We will then spend the morning visiting the beautiful Waterfront and Marina. Next, we will head over to the Orchard Park Mall for a lunch break and a little shopping. In the afternoon, we will check out two excellent wineries complete with samples – Grizzli Winery and Frind Estate Winery.

On our way out of Kelowna, we will stop for some animal encounters at Kangaroo Creek Farm, where you’ll meet kangaroos and wallabies! We will then make our way to Vernon, BC for a visit at Davison Orchards, for fresh produce, homemade goods and maybe even a ride on the “Johnny Popper” train! We will end our day with a stop at Fruit World for fresh, locally grown fruits and goodies. Our stay tonight will be in the “Houseboat Capital of Canada” – Sicamous, BC. This evening you can enjoy dinner on your own by the marina.

We head back through the Rocky Mountains and spend some free time in Banff, where you can take in the incredible mountain views while having lunch. There will even be time to stroll the shops on Banff Avenue.  We will make our way back to our home cities, filled with memories of this unforgettable escape through the Okanagan!
